Small Animal Ventilators
Our line of Small Animal Ventilators are self-contained units ideally suited to research with small animals. Accurate data can be obtained without external flow or pressure transducers. All controls are arranged on the face of the unit. Settings may be adjusted at without interrupting ventilator function. Inspired Tidal Volume is continuously displayed on a dedicated digital display. Respiratory Rate, Inspiratory Flow or Airway Pressure can be selectively displayed on a second digital display. Continuous analog outputs of mean airway pressure, pressure, volume and flow are available for connection to external display or data acquisition devices.

COMPRESSOR OPTION:

Voltek Enterprises Inc. has recently developed a compressor to be used with the Rodent Ventilator

This small, but powerful compressor allows the ventilator to be used with or without a compressed gas source and can also be used to administer inhalational anaesthetic agents. With the addition of this compressor, a reservoir bag and an anaesthetic  vaporizer, the ventilator becomes an anaesthesia ventilator of unprecedented versatility.

DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM

Voltek Enterprises Inc. has recently developed an optional Data Acquisition System (DAQ) allowing real time recording and subsequent recovery of  four channels of analog data.

The DAQ system incorporates  the National Instruments NI USB-6009 module and interfaces with a desktop or laptop (not included) via a USB connector. An extremely user friendly software to run the DAQ hardware has also been developed allowing use by anyone without the need to purchase any other computer programs.

The Labview virtual instrument library used by the DAQ has been compiled into our software so it can be used without having to purchase the expensive Labview program.  The DAQ hardware is hard-wired into the ventilator, so no external cables are required. (except the single USB cable connecting the ventilator to the computer).

Price :  $US 2000 (inclusive of software to record and retrieve data)

Gas Blenders
Our line of gas blenders allow users to blend 2 or 3 gases manually or automatically.  The total flow can be adjusted without changing the proportion of the gases.  The desired flows remain constant even if the source or back pressures change.  Infinite resolution of all flow settings is achievable.  Digital displays of all gas flows are provided.  Analog flow control inputs and analog flow outputs are available for all gases.  The response time is 10 ms for changes from 0 to 90% of full scale.

Plethysmogrpahs
Our line of double-chamber plethysmographs allow unobstructed view of ex-vivo pulmonary activity.  The unique double-chamber design allows for precise temperature and humidity control.  The condensation-free design ensures unobstructed view for imaging purposes.

Gas Flow Sequencer
Our line of gas blenders allow users to blend a number of gases in different proportions during a variable timing sequence.  Our units blend Up to 3 gases in up to 6 timed sequences from 1 second to 10 minutes in duration.  Individual gas flows may be controlled manually or externally by analog command voltages.  Sequences can be repeated or skipped in any combination.  Our technology ensures that gas flows are highly immune from upstream or downstream pressure fluctuations.

Volume Calibrators
Our line of Volume Calibrators accurately measure ventilator-delivered tidal volumes using a reliable water displacement method. Units easily disassemble for cleaning or finger-cot replacement. Interchangeable sight tubes are available for different volume ranges (0-1ml, 0-10ml, 0-50 ml).
